NIMC Identity Day 2023 Competition

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in Nigeria is a government agency. It’s responsible for the following, which includes;

• the establishment,
• management, and
•  regulation of a national identity database in the country.

 

Aim

Its primary aim is to capture, store, and manage the biometric and demographic data of all Nigerian citizens and legal residents. The central component of this database is the National Identification Number (NIN), a unique 11-digit number assigned to each individual.

 

The usefulness of NIMC lies in several aspects:

1. Identity Verification: The NIN serves as a reliable means of verifying an individual’s identity, which is crucial for various transactions, services, and government-related activities.

This year’s celebration invites talented writers, poets, and artists from all over the Federation to come forward and showcase their skills.
