Job Profile:
The Young Innovation Officers will play a crucial role in supporting the design and implementation of state-specific innovations in the field of public health.
They will be an essential part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for designing, testing, and adapting programs.
Their responsibilities will include tasks related to Design & adaptation, Surveys, and documentation.
They will be supervised by the Regional Coordinators and managed by the BCC Specialist. Additionally, they will act as advocates for Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health (AYSRH) in their respective states and influence policy decisions on ASRH programming in those regions.
Job Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
- Leading and co-ordinating the Youth-Adult partnership within the multidisciplinary team, incorporating the perspective of young individuals during the A360 Amp design phase.
- Participating in the Insight gathering workshop (Boot camp) and actively contributing to daily insight gathering and debrief meetings.
- Ensuring visibility for project activities in the state, both routine and special activities, in collaboration with SFH and external stakeholders.
- Coordinating the Commemoration of Special National/ World/ UN days in the states.
- Documenting state adaptive implementation and learnings.
- Identifying and documenting implementation gaps that require advocacy in the Community, L.G.A, and State levels, in liaison with the Regional Coordinator / PA.
- Participating in synthesis workshops to identify themes/points of convergence and design opportunities.
- Leveraging existing structures/systems (e.g. Conferences, TWG meetings, etc.) to facilitate a network of AYSRH youth advocates.
- Actively participating in State AYSRH meetings alongside the RC and PA.
- Leading Program/project Surveys and evaluations in the state, such as Mystery client surveys, Client satisfaction surveys, Client Exit Interviews, Process Evaluations, PAR, Cost Evaluation, and other program evaluations.
- Coordinating tracking and reporting of referrals from all digital platforms to service providers and facilities for counseling and/or services.
- Coordinating WhatsApp Group and other Digital Solutions in the state/field.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Must possess a First Degree in Nursing or Midwifery (for states), Social Sciences and Humanities, Mass Communication, and Digital Communication for HQ.
- Ability to multitask, mentor, and work with minimal supervision.
- A minimum of one (1) year post-NYSC experience in volunteering, or an equivalent NGO role.
- Age not exceeding 23 years at the date of application.
- Experience in project implementation for service delivery, supervision, monitoring, documentation, reporting, and health commodity tracking.
- Understanding of the NGO space and knowledge of ASRH issues.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
