About the Program

The Apprentice Training Program (ATP) offered by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU) is an entry-level training initiative aimed at young Nigerians interested in pursuing a career as Operations and Maintenance Technicians in the oil, gas, or related industries. The program aims to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills.

 

Since 1995, MPNU, an affiliate of ExxonMobil Corporation and operator of the Joint Venture with the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), has been conducting this program.

 

The ATP will be conducted over a period of approximately 23 months at the MPNU Technical Training Center (TTC) in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

 

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in both classroom and practical learning experiences, including on-the-job attachments at operating facilities.

 

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded an MPNU “Certificate of Completion” in their specific field of study, which includes Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Operations.

 

Eligibility Requirement

• Applicants must be Nigerian citizens.
• A government-issued identity card (Voters Card, National ID, Valid Driver’s License, International Passport) is mandatory.

 

Applicants must hold a National Diploma (ND) in one of the following disciplines:

 

• Chemical Engineering Technology
• Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology
• Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Petroleum Engineering Technology Applicants must have graduated with a minimum of a Lower Credit and no earlier than 2019.
