Three forgotten Chelsea wonderkids are all set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer window having not received a shirt number for the 2022/23 season.

After failing to impress in pre-season, Billy Gilmour, Ethan Ampadu and Kenedy have all been snubbed by Blues boss Thomas Tuchel when drafting plans for the forthcoming campaign and the club will now listen to offers for the outcast trio.

According to the Evening Standard, Gilmour is exploring his options after an underwhelming stint out on loan at Norwich City last season and another temporary switch is not out of the question. Former manager Frank Lampard remains keen on taking him to Goodison Park with Everton.

Enduring relegation from Serie A with Venezia last term, Ampadu is a reported target for fellow Italian strugglers Spezia, who are monitoring his ongoing situation with keen interest. Whilst Kenedy is understood to be eyeing a move back to his homeland following a loan spell at Flamengo during the previous campaign.

Though Armando Broja and Michy Batshuayi have both been handed shirt numbers by Tuchel, which are yet to be unveiled, as the Chelsea boss is unconvinced as to who will begin the season as his starting forward.

Romelu Lukaku’s loan move to Inter Milan has seemingly paved the way for Timo Werner to nail down a regular spot at the top end of the pitch but the German international is still yet to fully flatter the Stamford Bridge faithful following his £47.5million switch from RB Leipzig in 2020.

Tuchel opted to play Kai Havertz out of position for the bulk of the previous campaign but the versatile midfielder is expected to play out wide with Raheem Sterling with one of Broja, Werner or even Batshuayi leading the line.
