Spanish LaLiga outfit Villarreal are the latest club to be linked with Super Eagles and newly promoted Almeria striker Umar Sadiq who is also wanted by Newcastle United.
According to Super Deporte, Villarreal are interested in Sadiq after a fantastic season in the Segunda Division.
The striker bagged 19 goals in all competitions aa Almeria won promotion to the Spanish top flight.
And as per the report, the 25-year-old will be allowed to leave this summer if Almeria receives an offer of £20m for their star attacker, a valuation Villarreal are contemplating as Emery looks to add to the Yellow Submarine’s attack for next season.
Aside Newcastle and Villarreal, Sadiq is also linked with Dutch giants Ajax, as he is being touted as a possible replacement for Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller who might be heading to Dortmund.
Sadiq has come in leaps and bounds since joining Almeria in 2020, with the attacker averaging a goal every two games for the club.
And now his hard work is paying off with some of Europe’s biggest clubs after his signature.
