The (NITDA), in line with the National Digital Economy Policy and Skills pillar of Digital literacy and Strategy for a Digital Nigeria (NDEPS), is launching an initiative nationwide Digital Literacy and Skills Programme, which the training is aims for Nigerians tagged the Digital States Initiative.
The Digital States initiative, designed together of the implementation strategies of NDEPS, is aimed toward equipping Nigerian youths with the required digital literacy skills which will facilitate Nigeria’s transition to the Digital Economy.
The programme is aimed toward training about 540 youths from each state of the Federation and therefore the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
It’s expected that about 20,000 Nigerians will enjoy the programme. Registration for the primary phase of the programme commences on Monday 8th March, 2021. The beneficiary states for the primary phase are Gombe, Kano, Lagos and Rivers States.
